Collapsed Levee in Ciganjur Handled by City

Jakarta Provincial Government deployed mobile pumps at residential on Jalan Meninjo, Ciganjur, South Jakarta to overcome puddle due to collapsed levee on Friday (2/12). Temporary levee will be also made from sand sacks.

“Several areas have receded but the pumps will remain standby,” said Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, Saturday (2/13).
According to him, heavy equipment are unable to reach the location to fix the levee. The improvement must be done manually.

“If the levee was not collapsed, then puddle in Jakarta will recede quickly since PPSU personnel have cleaned the water channel. So I need related agencies to check this out,” he closed.
